Two teams of GVSU Advertising and Public Relations students placed in the top 10 of the annual Digital Marketing Competition.
Team Quirin finished in the top 5, which means they move to the finals in December at Purdue University where they will pitch their campaign to judges in person. The team included Clare Quirin, Hunter Bachman, Payton Peltomaa. They were coached by AdPR alumnus Riley Holbrook, who works at BlackTruck Media, and Associate Professor Adrienne Wallace.
Team Ray placed 9th and included students Desmond Ray, Amelia Wampler, Megan Morse. They were coached by Derek DeVries, an AdPR and MS in Communications alumnus who also works at BlackTruck, and Wallace.
“We have never had two teams place in top 25 before,” Wallace said. “This is the largest digital marketing competition there is, with teams coming from five continents.”
On Saturday, December 11th, the finalists will present their digital marketing plans to Wondr Health‘s marketing team and other digital marketing professionals from Amplified Digital, Epsilon, Amazon Ads, and Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners.
